Joomla 1X, 2X & 3X to Joomla 4X & 5X is a major migration, lots of components modules, plugins and templates will not work
Joomla 4X to 5X is a mini-migration means that the Joomla core extensions (Articles, Menus, Modules, Categories, Contacts, Weblinks, Newsfeeds, and Search) can be upgraded with a one-click update. All third-party extensions including templates need to be addressed individually.

The Process
We will perform a comprehensive website analysis to assess the migration's complexity. Following this assessment, we will provide you with a detailed quote, including an estimated project timeline and total cost.
- We back up your old website
- We take a copy of your files and database and install it on our live test server
- We uninstall and replace any extensions, modules and plugins which will not be compatible
- We copy the content from the old extension to the new extension or module
- We replace the template or install a new theme to match closely as possible the old template including fonts, and colours
- we then carry out the migration process
- we send you a live link to verify the new website
- When you are satisfied with the new Joomla 5 website we will migrate the test version of the website to your live website.
- We zip up the old and new website files and databases and send them to you for safekeeping.
